Our carers are carefully chosen through comprehensive screening methods. We select experienced live-in carers who are passionate about their work, have first-class interpersonal skills and are fluent English-speakers. Background checks are performed for each carer before being put in our database. These include acquisition of DBS certificates, previous employment experience certificates and level of experience assessment. We only work with carers who have been in the industry for a while and show a passion for caring.
Psychometric tests help to identify a candidate’s skills, knowledge and personality. We use these tests during the preliminary screening stage. We are looking for people with a sense of humour who are good listeners and have a caring nature. We want to ensure our professionals have the necessary skills. By implementing psychometric tests, we select only the highest-quality candidates.
We maintain very good relationships with our carers. We understand that if the carers are happy with their abilities, they will deliver better results and make sure to do a good job. On average, our carers stay with Veritas Care for 3 years which is good compared to industry averages. We find great rates for carers.We also provide training at our Academy of Care for professionals. Our coordinators contact our carers regularly to provide support whenever needed.
